Kumbh Mela 2021 - Who are Aghori Sadhus ?

In Rural and sub Urban India nowadays most of the frauds Aghori sadhus are living just for money lust etc. I am sharing this to all of you so that you can understand their spirituality level.

So I am Providing you facts about real Aghori Sadhus.

Following are the lesser known facts about Aghori Sadhus.
  1. Aghori means the one who is not Ghor/ Difficult. Another word for an Aghori is Avdhoot. Avdhoot means the one who is beyond any hope, who is pure by heart, who remains permanently in joy, who is beyond lust, who has no malice, who remains in present, who doesn't wear any mask, who has neither worries nor desires and who has gone beyond his ego. An aghori is also called Aughar which literally means the one who belongs to some other home. An aghori is also called Aniket which means the one who has no home.
  2. Burn a piece of wood, when it’ll get burnt, it’ll turn into coal. Burn that piece of coal now, when this’ll get burnt, it’ll turn into ash. This ash will be in shape of that piece of coal. Now blow it off and the ash will get scattered. After this stage nothing can be done to this ash. An aghori is like this scattered ash. He has reached a state where nothing in this world can harm him in anyway anymore.
  3. Aghori says, O Shiv, how can i pray to you ? I have not seen you, I have not felt your touch, I have not listened to your voice. I have seen myself, I have touched myself, i have listened to my voice, hence I consider myself Shiv and pray to Sarveshvari to grant me the same Shivatv which She had granted You. Aghori says, Shivoham… Shiv is me only. Bhiravoham… Bhairav is me only.
  4. Ram, Krishn, Buddha, Bhrithari, Raja Harishchandra, Raja Bhoj, Kaalidas, Tulsidas they all were aghoris only. Ram and Krishn did aghor sadhnas at the shamshan of Maa Tara.
  5. Aghoris don't follow any scriptures. They don’t have any scripture of their own. They know that God has neither revealed nor wrote any book ever. Whatever books have been ever written are written by humans only. They know that every book written at any point of time in the past has been based upon three things, first is sthaan/ location, Kaal/ time, Patra/ audience. Whatever may have been relevant at that point of time can not be relevant today.
  6. Aghoris know that whatever in this world exists has only been a certain permutation and combination of basic five elements ie. earth, fire, water, air and sky only hence they don’t discriminate. The know that every particle of this earth has soul in it hence for them eating an apple and eating a piece of meat is the same thing.
  7. Aghoris are beyond three Gunas namely Sat, Raj and Tam. They go beyond the perceived notions of these gunas and remain untouched by them.
  8. Aghoris do sadhna at shamshan only to make their mind a shamshan, where no desire takes birth anymore. Shamshan is only one of the five places where Aghoris do their sadhna. All of these places are symbolic. All of them represent end of desires only.
  9. Aghoris have knowledge of elements. For example they know that water which can be used for bathing, drinking, cooking can also be used for Bhootshuddi.
  10. Aghoris don’t do black or white or pink magic, neither they do vashikaran for anyone. These things are much below their dignity. The people who call themselves aghoris and ask people money in return for these imagined favours are simply frauds.
  11. Aghoris are of two kinds. Ones who don’t marry are called Sarbhangis as they shave their heads. Seconds are aghoris who marry and lead normal lives but remain aghoris only.

What`s Right isn`t Always Popular

I was going through an online course developed by my team on decision making and found this story very interesting on making decision. I'm giving it as it is I found somewhere in the internet.

A few children were playing on two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the track not in use, the rest on the operational track. The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way? Also remember that you don't have time to inform either the children playing there or the locomotive pilot to stop the train. You have to choose from the only above two option.

Before going further please take a pause, make your answer ready.

Let us see the decision you took is right or not.

If you have taken the decision to divert the train to unused track, to save most of the children at the expense of only one child you have definitely taken a popular decision as most of others take.

But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place? Why should he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was? The kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few ignorant kids.

"Remember that what's right isn't always popular and what's popular isn't always right."

Everything that is constructed is to be destructed

Everything that is constructed will be destructed. It may difficult to accept this truth. But that is. Everything, each and everything.... human life, a new innovation, a business, a building, a government, a policy, a law, a belief, a relation everything that is constructed today to be destructed one day.

I don't tell things to be completely collapsed to be destructed, but at least the form in which it is present shall be destructed to construct itself in another form. This seems to be law of nature. The theory of formation of this world itself tells that it is constructed by destruction. So sooner or longer it has to be destructed to construct another.

There were kings, kingdom, policies, laws, belief... they are no more now. They all are destructed to construct where we are now. A business, that is formed by years of hard work will be reformed to transform into another form in a minuets of time or it may be completely collapsed to make way to another business. But sure, it shall be destructed.

A record, may be a sports world record, or simply a Guinness record made by months of preparation will be reconstructed by another. A relation started by 1st meet goes to an end, that could be a full stop or transformation of type of relation. Open to close, close to open; social relationship to personal or a collapse of the relationship.

So, think of the way how it could be destructed before constructing. This will help you to reform it and save it from collapsing. Go for reconstruction before it collapse. So when you construct think of destruction.

Internet Providing new platform in freelance Journalists

Freelance journalists are those who are not the internal part of the publishing houses, but without whom both the print and electronic media won't survive even for a single day. Difference between a regular journalist a freelance journalist are that a freelance journalist writes whenever he wishes, on whatever he likes but a regular journalist has a commitment to writing, he has a deadline. The freelance journalist has to arrange his cost of reporting his own where a regular journalist sent by the media unit will be prepaid by it.

An advantage of being a freelance journalist is that he can write whatever he wishes, whenever he finds himself free to write, he can publish whichever magazine or media and also can earn money from it. If you have a passion for hunting new information and analyzing them to make a paragraph or two you too become a free lane journalist.

When it comes to the Internet era, free lance journalists have a good opportunity and exposure never seen earlier. You can get information on your own or get from the net, add your own views and publish your own. Blogger is the best example for freelance journalists. A blogger is a writer, editor and a publisher of his own. He can be a designer if he has a little knowledge of HTML and some other web languages. He can also earn money by publishing ads which google or yahoo like sites provides or can get paid from some websites directly if he is a serious writer. If you are new to the field you can get noticed by others by writing to those who are already noticed by others. Internet just works by links.

For this what one has to do is write more original contents, get linked by some high page ranked sites, write something interesting and be active. I started my career as freelance journalist 8 years ago, entered blogging 3 years ago and changed some blogging sites until I find myself satisfied with the services provided, started earning(though not a significant amount) through blogging 4 months back. Why late, you too be a freelance journalist

Javaharlal Nehru and Edwina Mountbatten affair- An untold story

Javaharlal Nehru, Chacha Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India had a fashionable and privileged life. Recently Nehru is well discussed about his affair with the wife of Luis Mountbatten last Viceroy pre-Partition India. Nehru family was one of the richest family of India which was also had taken part in Indian freedom movement. Edwina also from a high class family of London where she was a leading member of London society at the time of her marriage. She was also leading a fashionable life. Her life almost totally dedicated to the pursuit of pleasure. Edwina was criticised by the news papers of her time for her affair with various celebrities of her time. It is also quoted "Lady Mountbatten occasionally traveled with her husband's sister-in-law, Lady Milford Haven, whose bisexual liaisons are perhaps better documented than those attributed to Edwina". She successfully suited newspapers for publishing her personal stories. But it was rumoured and remains widely believed, she an affair with Jawaharlal Nehru that could also be hada connection on Nehru's subsequent visits to England after her returning.

Pamela Mountbatten, daughter of Lord Mountbatten described the relationship between Nehru and her mother in her book India Remembered: A Personal Account of the Mountbattens During the Transfer of Powerwith a chapter called "A Special Relationship" Express India reports she says, Love blossomed’ between a ‘lonely’ Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of the country, and the last Viceroy of India Lord Mountbatten's wife, Edwina, who had had other ‘lovers’ before. She also writes affair between Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, and Lady Edwina Mountbatten, blossomed during a 1947 trip to Mashobra, a hill station, as part of a party of family and friends. The attachment between them lasted until her death in 1960. A packet of letters from Nehru was found by her bedside. In her will she left all Nehru's letters - a suitcase full - to her husband.

“…towards the end of the 15 months we spent in India, the immediate attraction between my mother and Pandit ji blossomed into love” by this sentence Pamela gives a sacred states to Nehru and Edwina love affair. The kind of love that the old knights of old, a chivalric love, just as deep an emotional love with two like souls in a way, people who really grow to understand each other, and to be able to listen to each other and to complement each other and find solace in each other. Whatever the stories that could be, the photoes will never lie.

Photos: A photo Nehru laughing with Lady Mountnbatten taken by World famous photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson in Delhi in 1948 showing Jawaharlal Nehru and Edwina Mountbatten sharing a joke as Louis Mountbatten stands by. The photo was purchased by the National Portrait Gallery (UK) in 1990.
Nehru lightning cigerate was captured by the first women photo journalist of India Homai Vyarawalla. This is the one of the rarest photograph of Indian politics.

Now it is Bing vs Google

Bing - if you wish to insult it you can expand it as ‘But, It’s Not Google’. But certainly it is not true. Bing is a new search tool from Microsoft which looks like next version of Google, but with some added features. While Google is taking over Microsoft’s monopoly with release of new tools, it is now Microsoft’s turn to shock Google and its supporters.

Bing is much like Google, that’s why I called it as next version of Google! There is a search box with all the options for specifying search for image, maps, shopping, videos, news etc. Difference could be felt once you enter some thing for search and hit search button.

Here in Bing, no need to click on the result link to see what is inside. Just point on the result link, a pop up balloon shows the first few lines of the content. You need not to leave the result page to see what is there in it.

Bing gives a number of options to get what you looking for. Like in Google, if you search for Katrina you get the options for image search for the celebrity along with the search result. Here in Bing if you search for name of the celebrity you will be given option to choose news, image, quotes, biography etc. Similarly if you search for a disease, you can later choose to go for causes, treatment, remedy, news.

Similar to Google, Bing also allows you to search images. In Bing you can customize the size of the thumbnail. Also, there is no need to go to next page to view more images. You feel like you are viewing image from your own system. Details like sources, pixel are hidden and will be shown in balloon when you point to it.

Unlike Google video search, you can preview the video in Bing search for few seconds by pointing cursor to the thumbnail. Again you need not leave the result page to preview video.

Bing is just a child. It lacks a lot of features that Google offers. But for a normal search use it is now preferable along with Google. Bing makes searching more easy.

Fundamental Rights and Reservations

The mentioning of equal opportunities in employment and the reservations in the chapter of fundamental rights in the constitution of India created lot of confusions in judiciary, legislature and even for the executive wing. But still the opportunistic politics avoided the detailed discussion on the wish of the constitution regarding the reservations and the equal opportunities in education and employment.

Many believe that our constitution makers thought the reservations in negative sense. As there were lot of discriminations based on casts one born, they believed that it would be justified to extend the same for a period, not more than 10 years. Sardar Patel one of the chief architects of the Indian constitution said that "that the object of the House should be, as soon as possible and as rapidly as possible to drop these classifications and bring all to a level of equality"

The Indian constitution grants its citizens certain fundamental rights which are guaranteed by the constitution. Unlike any other legal rights, these fundamental rights are protected and enforced by the constitution. The fundamental rights can not be denied even by the government except in some special cases.

The constitution speaks of equal opportunities in employment and education to all the citizen of India without the discriminations on any ground. The related articles of the constitution read as follow which are self explanatory:

Article 16(1): There shall be equality of opportunity for all citizens in matters relating to employment or appointment to any office under the state

Article 16(2) No citizen shall on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, descent, place of birth, resident or any of them be ineligible for or discriminated against in any respect of any employment or office under the State.

Article 15(1): "The state shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth, or any of them"

Article 29[2]: No citizen shall be denied admission into any educational institution maintained by the State or receiving aid out of the State funds on ground only of religion, race, caste, language, or any of them.

In all these articles, the makers of our constitution speak about the equal opportunities and eradicating the discrimination on various grounds. The equal opportunities can be brought by increasing the competitiveness of the underprivileged citizens. Reservations in jobs will not create equal opportunities according to many scholars. Reservations are meant for the outcomes in employment opportunities, and not for the opportunities. Equal opportunities can be provided only through quality primary and secondary education which may also include special coaching and adequate assistance for any inadequately represented population groups.

There is a post reserved for some ‘community’ where there no candidate from that community applied. These seats were kept as backlogs though there the availability of suitable candidate is present from some other community. Don’t you think the employment opportunity is denied just because the second person is not from that reserved community? Isn’t it discrimination on the grounds of whatever mentioned in the constitution?

The wish of the constitution in bringing about the reservation has a wide meaning. In India we have seen a lot of discriminations on various grounds. There was lot of evil practices in our society. That too, we Indians have treated some people from particular communities as untouchable and saw as non human beings. There was a great inequality in our society. To support such people and give some opportunities for them and to bring them to the front row, the constitution wished for reservation. It also tells the reservation will not be against the fundamental rights mentioned above. The article about the reservations is as follow:

Article 16(4) "Nothing in this article shall prevent the State from making any provision for the reservation of posts in favour of any backward class of citizens, which in the opinion of state is not adequately represented in the services under the state"

The reservations in present scenario are not able to fulfill the wish of the constitution. A candidate from a reserved class becomes an MLA from a reserved assembly seat. Once he becomes an MLA his status got rises and enjoys every benefit an MLA from other forward communities enjoys. His cast does not matter for making money or bar him from using powers!! But his cast tag will continue with him. He expires and his son who have enjoyed every benefit that a non backward citizen enjoys, has enough money dominates the backward people of his own community and makes lobby, gets elected and enjoys all the benefits that has to be given to backward people though he is not backward now only for the reason he had born in that class. The other people of his own community will stay in the same situation even after 50 years from now making our politicians to think the same kind of reservation to be continued.

Now our judiciary has to interpret the constitution regarding the opportunities, backward class of people and reservations as it did interpret some of the fundamental rights in 1970s .

This is How jamindars fooled British !

India was never been an easy colony for British Empire. The establishment of British Raj in India was not that easy as colonizing any other country. Their first law, we can also call it as the first modern legal framework was used to fool them. It was during 1790’s in Kolkota their intention of getting control over the Jamindars faced hurdles as the Jamindars used the loop holes of the law to fool the East India Company.

Charles Cornwallis brought new rules under the name ‘Permanent Settlement’ to collect the revenues from Jamindars. These Jamindars had several villages under their control. They were made responsible for collecting revenues from the Ryots- Farmers working in the field under their control. Subsequently they had to pay the revenues to the East India Company. There was also a clause, what if the Jamindars did not pay the revenue to the company? According to the permanent settlement, the lands of the Jamindars who had arrears will be publicly auctioned and the highest bidder will be appointed as new Jamindar. Though several lands changed their Jamindariship the interesting part is how these Jaminadrs used the same rule of auctioning in favour of them.

One of such famous auction is of Land of Raja of Budwan. His several Estates were auctioned to recover the huge arrears. Numerous purchasers came to auction and estates were sold in auction. But the 95% of the sale was fictious. Many purchasers were the servants or the agents of the Raja. The outsiders who came to auction were beaten in Lathis by Lathyals and made sure that they wont participate. Servants or the agents of the Raja bought the land on behalf of the Raja or Jamindar. So the land continued to remain in the control of the Jamindari.

What Does India Need ? Projectivity or Productivity ?

Are you working for an Indian software company? What are you working on? A Project or an own Product?

Bill Gates is recognized for Microsoft Windows, Steve Jobs is for i-phone and i-pad, we have so many examples like this. Let me ask you now- for what product Mr Narayan Murthy recognized for? Ask yourself, take any Indian Software company and analyze for what product they are recognized for. Nokia is famous for Nokia Mobiles; Samsung is for quite much number of electronic items. Google could create a new verb. For which product do you mark Wipro? (Leave its consumer goods section). Western Products Ltd- Wipro has forgotten what is a product when it comes to Wipro Technologies. Where do its EGO laptops stand in international Market?

Have you observed one thing? We feel proud when some Indian name runs in credential when adobe acrobat initiates. We proudly announce this much percentage of yahoo, Intel, Microsoft employees are Indians. Now tell me, why still we are working on some project borrowed from those companies? Why we could not create an OS like Microsoft, Unix or Mac? Why still we are importing phones from China? Why we don’t have indigenous Chip, Mobile or Complete Desktop? Is it much difficult than an aircraft, a satellite launching vehicle or a cryogenic engine, or a super computer?

Ask CDAC or ISRO people how to work on a product? They have built indigenous products. We have cryogenic engine now! Just because USSR did not give us cryogenic technology when we asked it for! We have PARAM super computers just because USA was unwilling to provide us that technology. They worked for the nation! We, so called engineers work for company, work for project, work for service!

Narayana Murthy is our youngsters’ role model. What flashes you when we tell the name of Narayana Murthy! There could be Finacle, Tally or similar software products by Indian software units, but again they are just a service to their clients. What flashes in your mind when somebody tells Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Larry Page, N Y Philiphs……? People who do not know English have brand name called Lenovo, which now acquired IBM’s hardware unit. The same Chinese people have Huawei; to run our internet connections we have no other option!

We Indians are masters in English have nothing! (Our software companies test communication skills in English during recruitment) Our companies work on some projects which are already researched and developed by Huawei! You learn Chinese to bring that silly project! Our knowledge in foreign language is used only for bringing or begging some projects! The same Narayana Murthy tells many of our engineering students are not eligible to be employed. Yes, our schools have prepared such graduates who can work on some project- a borrowed out sourced service! They are not prepared to work on their own product or a landmark in the technology! What else you can expect when your requirement is the same?

Work for ‘Product’vity not on ‘Project’vity!

A Non IITian Success story

A M Naik L&T
A M Naik, Chairman and MD, Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
Success never asks for the certificates given by an institution. It is an inspiring story of Mr A M Naik (See Wikipedia), who struggled to speak in English climbed the top position in L&T, one of the prestigious corporate group of the country. This story by Shyamal Majumdar was published in Business Standard .

Consider what A M Naik has achieved in terms of making Larsen & Toubro (L&T) one of the most respected engineering conglomerates in the country. Now, consider his initial experience at L&T. Apart from the fact that he was not from any of the Indian Institutes of Technology (Naik did his mechanical engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College in Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat), his poor knowledge of English led him to make seven to eight mistakes in the first employment form he filled.

When he applied to L&T, he got a job, but the company reduced its initial offer by Rs 90 to Rs 670 a month and offered him a lower designation than what it had initially promised — all because the final interviewer thought he was a bit arrogant. Years later, Naik attributes this to a communication gap between him and the Englishman, who was the final interviewer. “I used to think in Gujarati and then translate it into English; the Englishman perhaps misunderstood what I had intended to say,” Naik said.

Naik could have easily given up on the L&T job, but didn’t, just to prove a point. He joined L&T on March 5, 1965, and became the workshop in-charge within one and a half years of joining the company. When he was not even 25, some 800 people reported to him. The rest is all too well known.
